Anders Sjørslev Schmidt is a Medical Doctor and PhD-candidate from Aarhus University. His main focus is atrial fibrillation research, and in his PhD he aims to improve the outcome of cardioverting atrial fibrillation. His main supervisor is professor Bo Løfgren, MD, PhD, FESC, FAHA. He conducted his Bachelor Thesis in Resuscitation Science, published two papers on the work in highly respected journals. He conducted a Research Year on cardioverting atrial fibrillation investigating defibrillation waveforms. The Study was published during his PhD in 2017 in JAHA: Journal of the American Heart Association. During the past five years he has been a part of professor Løfgren’s Resuscitation Science Team at Center for Emergency Medicine, Aarhus University.
